Pop Email On Android – Your Questions…

Ken asks…

How to sync Outlook and Gmail EMAIL on my Android Phone?

I am a single home user that uses Outlook extensively (no Exchange server). I recently purchased Deja Office to sync my Outlook with my Android phone. It syncs everything (Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Memos) beautifully but it doesn’t sync my EMAIL. I’ve read in various forms that say Business/Premier (?) Edition of Google apps is needed to sync email. Is this the only thing out there that will sync outlook email and gmail without an exchange server? I read from a user that switched to IMAP but it sounded like he was an admin on Exchange not a single user on Outlook. My email service (Charter.net) uses POP – could I still switch to IMAP? Sorry for all the questions. It seems like such a simple thing to do – I had no idea it would be this crazy…? I’m ready to go back to my Mobile Me phone – yikes 🙁 Please help me! THANK YOU!

You can do this fairly easily.

You Gmail account can sync email using IMAP with your Android phone and Outlook.

So if you change your email setup to Gmail pulls your POP email into your Gmail account you can then sync both Outlook and Andriod with that…

You might want to keep your Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Memos in sync with your current method or you can look into doing that via Gmail too.

You can din much more info on how to do this at http://www.Easy-Email.net
