If I’ve changed the password on a primary POP email account, do I need to update settings on my Gmail?

I’ve changed the password on my primary email account, and I havec it linked as a POP account on my Gmail, yahoo mail, and Outlook mail. Will these programs still retrieve emails from the POP account if I have not updated my settings to reflect the password change?

admin answers:

Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Outlook have to use your password when connecting to your POP account every time they check your email.

If you change the password on your POP account, these programs won’t be able to check your email anymore until you give them the updated password.

I am making my outlook express my default email. What is the incoming mail pop server & the outgoing email pop server?

You must be a paid subscriber of Yahoo Mail Plus to use email programs like Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc., to access your Yahoo mail.
