Pop Email Account – Your Questions…

Email

Susan asks…

If I’ve changed the password on a primary POP email account, do I need to update settings on my Gmail?

I’ve changed the password on my primary email account, and I havec it linked as a POP account on my Gmail, yahoo mail, and Outlook mail. Will these programs still retrieve emails from the POP account if I have not updated my settings to reflect the password change?

admin answers:

Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Outlook have to use your password when connecting to your POP account every time they check your email.

If you change the password on your POP account, these programs won’t be able to check your email anymore until you give them the updated password.

Paul asks…

SSL Certificates?

I have a domain name and webhosting. I also have subdomains.

Lately I have found that it’s getting hard to get my cpanel up. Does anyone know if not having the SSL certificate is the reason for this?

Where I have them hosted, I was told that I need a SSL certificate. I’m amazed that I would need one as my sites are not business sites.

I can’t really afford to buy a certificate. If I need to have one, I will just have to look else where to host my site.
cpanel in the control panel of web hosting.

What is your cpanel?
